Long Island Seller's Home Inspections
In the home selling markets of Long Island, Queens, Nassau, Suffolk, Brooklyn, and most of the country, more and more sellers are beginning to see the wisdom of having a home inspector perfom a home inspection prior to placing their home on the market. Safe Harbor Inspections Inc. performs seller's home inspections to assist you with selling your house. Here are just a few reasons to have a seller's home inspection performed:
- As the seller, you will know what issues a home inspector is likely to identify to a buyer as an issue or defect. You will be able to read the home inspection report and decide on a plan of action to help sell your house.
- You have the option of correcting the identified issues so that they will not be an issue when the buyer hires a home inspector. You may also decide not to correct anything, but, you can include the home inspection report with your disclosure statement. You can also adjust your pricing to help eliminate any negotiations, if you decide not to correct any defects.
- Having a home inspector perform a seller's home inspection also allows you to highlight the positive attributes of your property. Upgrades are identified with photos in our home inspection report.
- A seller's inspection gives the buyer "peace of mind" before they make their offer. It also gives the seller credibility in the eyes of the buyer.
- Sometimes defects that could easily have been dealt with in advance by the seller permanently derail the transaction. For example, oil tanks, asbestos, mold, basement water issues.
- As a Long Island home inspector I have seen a seller's inspection help differentiate a home from the competition.
Homes from Queens to Long Island, from Nassau county to Suffolk county, Brooklyn to The Bronx can take advantage of a seller's home inspection. Safe Harbor Inspections Inc. can place a "Certified, Pre-Inspected” sign on your property. We will provide this sign free of charge, as well as a “Certified, Pre-Inspected” sign rider designed to hang on the bottom of the “For Sale” sign.
Advertise the fact that your home is "Certified, Pre-Inspected” in your marketing materials and advertisements. It can even be posted on a web-site for easy and secure access for the buyer.
At the time of the seller's inspection, you will receive a verbal summary, on-site. Our photographic inspection report is easy to read and understand. It will be delivered via e-mail to you within 24 hours of the inspection.
